I got my birthday present from Teddy last night. It was very exciting, and he managed to keep it a surprise. Which, he kind of didn't, because I guessed what it was a few weeks ago, but he really played off that it wasn't it. I am still overwhelmed by how great it was. I really am.
Unfortunately, they sold our seats, twice, so they put us in another set of seats, which I didn't care about, because I had no idea what we were going to see. Anyway, we were next to this older redneck couple. So, the show starts, and a Boyz II Men montage comes up, and I was screeaammmming. So excited!
Anyway, they were fabulous, but short a member, because one left in 2003 due to issues with Scoliosis, which is sad, but they were still totally awesome. Through the whole show the couple that were next to us just complaining about how bad they suck, loudly. I could not believe it, and I looked over, and they both had their fingers in their ears. They stayed for about 3/4 of the show, with their fingers in their ears, and finally they got up and left. I was very thankful, and commenced screaming even louder.
They did an encore, and I had such a good time. They sang Motownphilly, in its entirety as the encore. They also sang some of their hits, as well as several songs from their Hitsville CD.
I had such a good time, and it was the best concert I've ever seen. The sound quality on the music wasn't the best, but the performance was amazing. I got a little teary eyed.
I'm a latecomer to the music from this period of the 90s, because when their first album came out? I was six years old. Like a lot of the music that I love, I really wasn't "there" when it was popular. Sure, I'd heard it on the radio, seen them on Fresh Prince of Bel Aire, but I wasn't in it like other people were. Teddy and I were some of the youngest people in the audience. It was crazy, i had such a good time, and I really hope that I do remember it forever.

My brakes went out on Gary. Thankfully, I had just slowed down to make a right hand turn into a business park. His brakes went out in the turn, and I just kind of rolled around until I stopped. Apparently, the emergency brake isn't for when you park on a hill. So, I got it to a garage, where they informed me, that besides the pads needing to be replaced, there's nothing wrong with them at all (the brakes.) So, I'm at a loss. To be safe, they're flushing the brakes, replacing the pads and rotors. It was something that needed to be done, but I just couldn't afford it until now.
Vox does not like that I use contractions.
Anyway, I'm safe. I officially start my job tomorrow, which means I get paid. I'm stoked. It's going to be pretty exciting.

I look almost identical to my Grandma Dorann, on my father's side. At this age the only difference is weight. It upsets my dad.
